An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a workplace-based support service designed to help employees manage personal and professional challenges that may affect their wellbeing, performance, or attendance. Traditionally, EAPs offer short-term counselling, mental health resources, and referral services.
At ProFriends Coaching and Mentoring, I recognise that many workplaces struggle with the rising costs of an EAP provision causing them to be limited, reduced or removed entirely. My service offers a flexible, person-centred alternative—providing structured, confidential 1:1 coaching and mentoring or counselling support tailored specifically to the demands of your staff.
Where EAPs often provide time-limited or reactive support, ProFriends offers a proactive and ongoing space for reflection, emotional regulation, resilience building, and personal growth—helping staff feel genuinely supported in both their professional roles and personal lives.
I specialise in helping staff manage stress, improve time management, and explore career development, while building lasting resilience and confidence. I also offer tailored coaching for individuals navigating significant life transitions such as divorce, retirement, or a change in role or direction. For those experiencing deeper-rooted personal challenges, including trauma, ProFriends can also provide access to person-centred counselling through a trusted associate—ensuring that each individual receives the right level of support in a compassionate and confidential space.
As a certified life coach, I have completed extensive training in areas such as psychology, goal setting, and communication.

"Helena brings a quiet yet powerful enthusiasm to groups, drawing on her experience managing complex and diverse teams to encourage and support development work. She helps groups track and notice progress towards goals and is able to bring together lots of ideas to support groups to create solutions.
Helena's strengths in 1:1 settings were clear when engaging in paired work, she listened and gently coached with a deft and thoughtful approach. We really appreciated how Helena shared her own lived experiences to support others and proactively gave feedback to support learning.
We are delighted to have Helena within our community and hope for future collaborations together."
